The School offers a culturally vibrant and dynamic environment for research on areas and regions.
We are keen to encourage prospective Postdoctoral Fellows to explore the possibility of applying through the School. It offers to Early Carrier Researches the opportunity to interact with the largest community of Area Studies scholars anywhere, and gain scholar independence.

If you are interested in making an application to any postdoctoral fellowship scheme, follow the internal procedure.
- The first step should be to contact the person who you would like to be your mentor. The range of research interests are available on the academics' pages, but innovative, exciting and interdisciplinary ideas are welcome.
- The second step should be to check the School's internal deadline and submit the documents required to obtain the School’s Research Committee approval to the Research Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The School’s Research Officer provides advice and support to applicants for externally-funded research fellowships.
