Josefina Echavarria Alvarez is Director of the Peace Accords Matrix (PAM) and Associate Professor of the Practice at the Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies, in the University of Notre Dame . Echavarria earned her PhD in Peace, Conflict and Democracy from the University Jaume I (Spain). She is the former Co-Director of the Research Center for Peace and Conflict at the University of Innsbruck and has taught in numerous universities around the world on peace building, peace education, gender, conflict analysis and research methods.

 

John Paul Lederach, Professor Emeritus of International Peacebuilding, Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, Senior Fellow, Humanity United.  Widely known for his pioneering work in conflict transformation, Lederach is involved in conciliation work in Colombia, the Philippines, and Nepal, plus countries in East and West Africa. He has helped design and conduct training programs in 25 countries across five continents. Lederach is the author of 22 books, including When Blood and Bones Cry Out: Journeys Through the Soundscape of Healing and Reconciliation, (University of Queensland Press, 2010), The Moral Imagination: The Art and Soul of Building Peace (Oxford University Press, 2005), The Journey Toward Reconciliation (Herald Press, 1999), Building Peace: Sustainable Reconciliation in Divided Societies (USIP, 1997), and Preparing for Peace: Confliction Transformation Across Cultures (Syracuse University Press, 1995).

 

Felipe Roa-Clavijo is a specialist in the Barometer Initiative in Colombia, as part of Peace Accords Matrix at the Kroc Institute in the University of Notre Dame, where he leads the Comprehensive Rural Reform chapter monitoring. Felipe obtained his doctoral degree in International Development from Oxford University, and his research focuses on food security and food sovereignty. He has worked at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
