Introduction:

 
Andrew Hurrell is Montague Burton Professor of International Relations and a Fellow of Balliol College.His major interests include international relations theory and the international relations of Latin America, with particular reference to the foreign policy of Brazil, regionalism, and US-Latin American relations. Publications include: (co-editor with Louise Fawcett), Regionalism in World Politics (Oxford 1995); (co-editor with Ngaire Woods), Inequality, Globalisation and World Politics (Oxford, 1999); (with Kai Alderson) Hedley Bull on International Society (Macmillan, 2000) ; and (co-editor with Rosemary Foot and John Gaddis), Order and Justice in International Relations (Oxford, 2003).
