We are seeking a part-time (60%), fixed-term Departmental Lecturer to assist in teaching and supervision for the MSc and MPhil in Russian and East European Studies. The post is a part time fixed term post until 30 September 2019 made available due to the secondment of the permanent post holder.
In September Dan Healey gave the opening keynote lecture at an intensive workshop at the University of Tallinn, ‘Researching, reworking and representing Soviet and Socialist LGBT histories’ (29 September to 2 October 2016).
Paul Irwin Crookes presents the latest research thinking on EU–China economic relations at a panel discussion book launch at the University of Oxford China Centre.
On Friday 4th November, Jennifer Holdaway gave a seminar at Hohai University in Nanjing on Interdisciplinary Research on Environment, Health and Development: New Challenges for a New Era (环境、健康与发展的跨学科研究：新时期的新挑战).
On 25th October, students and faculty on the MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies caught up with each other over an English 'afternoon tea', enjoying the opportunity to learn more about each other's research interests and experiences.
Professor Marcelo Medeiros (Federal University of Pernambuco) has been appointed the Rio Branco Visiting Professor of the International Relations of Brazil for 2015.
