New volume of Colombian History collection
The third volume of the History of Colombia series, directed by Eduardo Posada Carbó, has just been published by Penguin Random House and Fundación Mapfre in Madrid. Under the title, Colombia. La apertura al mundo, 1880-1930, this volume –like the rest of the collection – has individual chapters on the society, economy, culture, international relations and politics of Colombia during that period. The chapters of the volume were respectively written by Marco Palacios, María Teresa Ramírez, Patricia Londoño, Stephan Randall and Eduardo Posada-Carbó, who is also the editor of the book. The collection has six volumes, covering the period 1810-2000, and includes one on the history of Colombia through photography. Four volumes have already been published.
