School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies and Social Policy and Intervention

We are seeking an HR Officer who will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the HR function for the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies and Social Policy and Intervention. You will provide essential support, advice and guidance to the two Departments on HR-related matters including: personnel, recruitment, work permits and visas. This is a full-time, permanent position.

You will manage the day to day operation of the HR function in both departments, providing advice to line managers and staff, working closely with the both Heads of Administration to ensure compliance with University policy and procedure. You will also deputise for the each Head of Administration and Finance as and when required, attending meetings on their behalf as well as attending Divisional working groups or committees to build relationships and share best practice.

You will have experience of working in an HR team/role and managing HR processes and be qualified or working toward CIPD graduate level. You will have the ability to develop professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders and have sound knowledge of the application of employment law and UK Visa and Immigration regulations.
